Offer Description
Edward (Ned) Kelly (1854-1880) was from a poor rural family and was the eldest of seven children. In 1870 Ned was imprisoned for assault and in the following year was sentenced to 3 years gaol for receiving a stolen horse. In 1878, a police officer trying to arrest Ned’s brother, Dan Kelly was shot in a fight. Shortly after at Stringybark Creek, Ned and Dan shot and killed 3 policemen. Despite being a brutal killer, the legend of Ned Kelly is now etched in Australian culture forever.
