JVC’s new Everio GZ-MG730 hard disk camcorder features a new, super-slim design that makes it one of the world’s smallest hard drive camcorders on the market. The new Everio line also offers new functions that make operation simpler and more intuitive. The 30GB GZ-MG730 features a high-performance camera section with a 1/2.5-inch, 7.38-megapixel CCD with Primary Color Filter. It also offers a more rounded design that shows off the F3.5 Konica Minolta lens. With the ability to shoot high-resolution digital stills up to 3072 x 1728 (16:9 mode) or 3072 x 2304 (4:3 mode) in size, the GZ-MG730 is an ideal dual-use camera. Serious enthusiasts will enjoy the additional pro-style shooting features, including Auto Flash, Program AE dial with Shutter Priority and Aperture Priority, Auto Exposure Bracketing, Backlight and Spotlight compensation, Natural and Vivid color settings, and Histogram Display.

Two modes are selectable, offering more Natural or more Vivid colors. Choose what's best according to the subject matter, your taste or preference. Works for both video and stills. Program AE dial lets you easily select from Shutter Priority, Aperture Priority, Spotlight, Snow, Sports, Portrait, Twilight and Auto/Manual modes. Outdoor mode pops in a neutral density filter for shooting in extra bright conditions like the beach or skiing. The Aperture Priority mode controls the depth of field while the Shutter Priority mode lets you select the shutter speed according to the subject. Auto Flash shines automatically if ambient light is low for brilliant still shots.

Internal high-capacity HDD allows extremely long recording times. With the 30GB model, you can store up to 37.5 hours of video. You can choose the picture quality from four modes, from high-quality video equivalent to DVD Movie to small-sized clip ideal for uploading to the Web.
