Step back in time and try this 1940s technology. The Tiger Moth was instrumental in training RAAF pilots before moving into more advanced aircraft in World War 2. This trial flight is a must for any flight enthusiast who would like to fully appreciate this open air tail wheel classic.
The trial flight starts with a short briefing, which covers the Tiger Moth plane, flying techniques, and what to expect from the trial flight. Then the professional instructor will take you to the Tiger Moth, where there will be the opportunity to take photos, and a short plane inspection will be done.
Are you ready because from here its all go, straight into the plane and up and away you go. Your hands on training will start almost right away with the instructor letting you take the controls once the plane is in the air. The instructor will go through the stick and rudder with power and attitudes, moves discussed in the briefing. This will give you a lifelong grounding in the skills required to fly all aircraft and a general feeling of how the early aviators learned to fly.
As well as a trial flight, you’ll also be able to enjoy the views around the Camden area as you fly around the training area up above. This is a great opportunity to have some fun and really get into the trial flight, don’t forget to make the most of the knowledge the instructors have as they instruct because they love instructing.
