Congratulations on your decision to join the fastest growing fun sport in the world today. Scuba diving will open the way for you to discover the underwater environment, see and feed colourful fish, explore sunken wrecks and even capture your own seafood.
Learning to scuba dive is easy, great fun and with the correct training, is amongst the safest of all recreational activities. We are the only facility we know of that keeps everyone, warm, dry and comfortable by supplying our students with a Dry Suit and thermals during their course.
We teach you through the P.A.D.I system, which is the largest recreational scuba teaching organisation in the world. P.A.D.I is recognised in over 80 countries and teach in excess of 75% of the worlds scuba divers using the safe and correct techniques of diving. Upon completion of your course, you will be certified to dive just about anywhere.
Our instructors are qualified to take you through a variety of courses, so that you are able to advance to whatever level of diving you desire.
Our course for new divers is known as the Open Water Diver course.
The PADI Open Water Course consists of self-study, classroom theory, heated pool dives - practical skills and open water (sea) dives. Open Water sessions are a combination of a minimum of 2 shore and 2 boat dives, both locally and around the Peninsula. Our own custom built divers boat Ocean Diver departs from Portsea pier.
The Standard Course is conducted over two evenings and two consecutive weekends (weather permitting). Thursday - 6.30pm-9.30pm, Friday - 6.30pm-9.30pm, Saturday - 8.30am-1pm then pool 1pm-6pm, Sunday 8.30am-1pm then pool 1pm-6pm, then the following weekend only we dive Saturday and Sunday this will normally take all day.
