Its excellent balance between acidity and rounded ripe tannins results in a wine with personality. It has a pleasant and lingering finish. Serving suggestions: 18ºC (64°F). Brancott Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 750mlFrom $9.99
"This is the original Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc. We were first to recognise Marlborough’s potential for exceptional Sauvignon Blanc, planting the varietal on Brancott Vineyard. Aromas of ripe lemongrass and tropical rock melon are immediately apparent, allied with a range of sweet, tropical top notes. Brancott Estate Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc is a fruit-driven wine crafted in a style that epitomises the character and flavour of the Marlborough region. It justly deserves its international reputation for quality and consistency." - Patrick Materman Brancott Estate Chief Winemaker.
Aroma and PalateThe wine is pale star in colour with green highlights. This wine has a sweet, ripe fruit character reminiscent of white stone fruit and citrus blossom with a crisp, nettle freshness. The wine is almost pungent in its intensity with full fruit flavours across the spectrum, from lush pink grapefruit to refreshing herbaql/nettle top notes. This is a well-balanced wine showing palate weight, sweet fruit flavours and the crisp acidity associated with the style.Food Matching This wine can be matched with grilled oysters, barbecude prawns or salmon and poached white fish with fresh green salads containing parsley, pepper or lemon. Mediterranean and Turkish dishes with hummus, olives and feta will also match well.
Visit Brancott Estate Website
