The Panasonic HDC-HS20 80 GB HDD high-definition camcorder features a high-performance Leica lens that makes it possible to pack a powerful 16x zoom into a compact body. Because the zoom is optical, there's limited image degradation. With Panasonic's Advanced O.I.S. (Optical Image Stabilizer), you can catch dynamic shots with no blurring in both still and motion images. You can also enjoy a 5.1-channel surround sound system featuring Zoom Mic functions.

The HS20 features a touch-screen that lets you operate a variety of functions intuitively without taking your eyes off of the subject on the LCD screen. And the AF Tracking has been added to the iA function which automatically judges the scene and makes the best possible settings, so the HS20 keeps the subject in focus even if the subject's face turns away from the camcorder.

To view recorded images as quickly as possible, the HS20 features a new highlight playback function. This gives you a quick, easy way to view the most exciting scenes all together. The HD Writer AE 1.0 editing software also has a new function that lets you easily upload your video clips to the YouTube website.

Intellignet Scene Selector - This function analyzes the shooting situation and automatically switches the camcorder to the Scene mode that will give you optimal results.

Face Detection - Face Detection automatically senses the ambient lighting and adjusts the exposure accordingly, so faces are bright and easy to see. The focus also prioritizes the faces, and skin tones are smoothed.
