The use of GoreTex Paclite fabric has enabled us to make the Discovery Lite our lightest fully-zipped bivi bag at only 300g. The Waterbloc groundsheet provides a durable barrier to moisture from the ground, and locating the zip around the end of the bag has enabled us to reduce draughts or leaks from the zip without adding the extra weight of oversized zip baffles. The Discovery Lite is a great entry level GoreTex bivi bag which is now small and light enough to double up as an emergency shelter for longer or more exposed trips.
