This course is perfect for everyone from first timers to those who have tried or are climbing at a gym or with a group, but now want to progress to the outdoors safely themselves. The top-rope climbing course is designed to give students the knowledge and skills to locate a suitable climbing route (using a guide book), rig a solid and reliable anchor system, operate a belay system and climb the route using a range of climbing techniques. Training is designed to be realistic and customised to suit your particular needs. - Duration: Two (2) Days (Top rope bottom belay) One (1) Day (Top belay & trad anchors) - Cost: $375.00 per person (Top rope bottom belay) $199.00 per person (Top belay & trad anchors) - Enrolment: Must be at least 15 years of age - Speak and understand English - Fit and healthy for climbing - Location: Both days at Mt Ngungun - Glasshouse Mountains - Accomodation: Camping at Glasshouse Mountains Campground, backpacker or private rooms at the Glasshouse Mountains Eco-lodge, or motel accomodation at the Glasshouse Beerwah Motel. - Equipment: You are encouraged to use your own equipment if approved by our instructors to build familiarity and make training realistic. - Hire Gear: Equipment for the course can be supplied with no added cost if needed. Students that choose to hire gear will be supplied with the following personal gear: - CE Certified Climbing Harness (EN 12277 Type C) - CE Certified Climbing Helmet (EN 12492) - Qualification: Statement of Attainment in partial completion of the outdoor recreation training package.
