Composite cables are the ubiquitous video lead with the yellow RCA connector used to transmit standard definition video.
An easy way to connect up a DVD player or video game to a TV, but by far the poorest quality of all the connectors, afflicted by smeared colour, and an unsightly artefact called "dot crawl", which causes solid lines to break up into a crawling pattern along their edges.
