Why is Widescreen Important?
Widescreen refers to screen aspect ratios wider than the 4:3 of standard definition. In television and video, it most commonly it refers to the 16:9 aspect ratio of most HDTVs on the market. In order to make the most out of your TV screen, it's highly recommended that you purchase a widescreen TV. It's also the only way to really see most films as the director intended.
