GIACONDA ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2011From $72.99
GIACONDA ESTATE CABERNET SAUVIGNON 2011: Notes of ripe black fruit and cedar, the nose is racy and has a classic Cabernet character without showing any green edges. The palate structure is very assertive whilst still being rich and long. This wine finishes with classic fine grained firm tannins which run right through the structure and will enable long term aging potential.
GIACONDA ESTATE SHIRAZ 2011From $85
GIACONDA ESTATE SHIRAZ 2011: A melange of red fruits with aspects of Côte-Rôtie briar and earth characters. Pepper and spice combine with a highly aromatic bouquet to give a lifted and expressive nose. The palate is fine, taut and concentrated with hints of savoury oak and dried herbs. This wine is densely packed with fruit which carries through to the finish with fine grain tannins and perfect acidity as the result of a cooler year.

THISTLE RIDGE CHARDONNAY 2011From $16.99
Not only will New Zealand Chardonnay lovers rave over this, Aussie Chardonnay lovers will share similar feelings!! If you are drinking Chardy in the $20 and under price point, this is a no brainer at this price! Light straw in colour this sumptuous Chardonnay offers peach, pineapple, vanilla and coconut shavings on the nose. The palate is long and finely balanced with powerful fresh white stonefruits and ground almonds. Fruit driven acidity provides not only long but a textural finish perfect for warm summer evenings. Serve slightly chilled. Another excellent chardonnay from Waipara. Light gold in colour, it is fresh and fruity with plentiful peaches, a smidge of citrus and green apple and a long buttery finish. Its light on oak but heavy on fruit and texture. Enjoy - its great value. Tizwine.com
