HOBBS GREGOR SHIRAZ 2005From $130
HOBBS GREGOR SHIRAZ 2005: The 2005 Gregor Shiraz was made from grapes dried on racks prior to crushing and fermentation in the style of Amarone. More deeply colored than its siblings, it has a liqueur, port-like character to its aromas and flavors. Large in scale and richly fruity, it conceals enough ripe tannin to evolve for 6-8 years. Drink this singular effort from 2015 to 2035. Robert Parker, Wine Advocate, 2009. 96 points Rich, ripe and generous with its green olive-scented black cherry and licorice flavors that linger on the polished finish, with bright raspberry notes sneaking in at the end. Drink now through 2017. Harvey Steiman, Wine Spectator 2008. 93 points

DELAMOTTE BLANC DE BLANCSFrom $83.99
DELAMOTTE BRUT BLANC DE BLANCS NV: 100% Chardonnay from the Côte des Blancs, rich, with a surprising delicatesse, round yet mineral. Beyond its golden robe, floral fragrances (especially of rose), angelica, citrus, with a hint of ginger and, in the mouth, hints of biscuit and breadcrust on the finish. A true pleasure with grilled fish, langoustine and shrimp, oysters, poultry and all cream dishes. Subtle and mellow, with an intriguing nutty aroma. It has mature flavors that are dominated by toasty, buttery components. Very harmonious from beginning to end, with a long finish. Perfect as an apéritif with its luscious pear flavors. Rating: 91 points; Review by: Wine Spectator NV Delamotte Blanc de Blancs. Made under the same management as the scintillating perfect Salon, this is a complex and balanced Blanc de Blancs, superbly structred and phrased. It's perfectly suited to pre-anything drinks and has the balance and structure to take through to dinner. 93 points $98; WBM, Nick Stock

PENFOLDS GRANGE 1997From $524.99
PENFOLDS BIN 95 GRANGE 1997:A deep, crimson red with a dense ruby core.Immediately engaging, with wafts of nutmeg and ginger amongst notes of blueberry and blackcurrant and a background of well-seasoned savoury oak. The fruit gains in the glass with aeration, when more subtle perfume and chestnut complexities emerge.Already showing excellent balance within the frame of a beautifully interwoven mesh of dark plum and blackberry fruits with fig and liquorice. Complex fruit and spice flavours sit against a finely focused backdrop of firm but rounded tannins. Barossa Valley, McLaren Vale & Bordertown.Shiraz (96%), Cabernet Sauvignon (4%).Alc/Vol: 14.0%Enjoy: Now to 2025 The 1997 Grange (a blend of 96% Shiraz and 4% Cabernet Sauvignon) looks to be a classic Grange, although slightly softer and more forward than the backward 1996. The saturated purple-colored 1997 offers a gorgeously sweet nose of blackberry liqueur, cherries, camphor, chocolate, plums, and mocha. The wine is opulently-textured, extremely soft, layered, and seductive, with Grange's tell-tale personality well-displayed, but in a seamless, seductive style. This is a superb Grange that can hold its own against the more heralded 1996. Anticipated maturity: 2005-2022.Wine Advocate #143 Oct 2002 Robert Parker 94
PENFOLDS BIN 95 GRANGE 1991From $650
PENFOLDS BIN 95 GRANGE 1991: By international benchmark standards, Penfolds Grange has everything required of a great red wine: complexity, richness, balance and longevity.Representing the pinnacle of the Penfolds red wine range, the 1991 Grange is one of the finest red wines made in Australia and displays lifted classic Grange character, perhaps more so than the highly acclaimed 1990. 95% Shiraz 5% Cabernet Sauvignon
CHATEAU DE BEAUCASTEL HJP 2004From $485
CHATEAU DE BEAUCASTEL HOMMAGE A JACQUES PERRIN 2004: Still youthful, and even slightly backwards, the tiny production 2004 Chateauneuf du Pape Hommage a Jacques Perrin (60% Mourvedre and the balance other permitted varieties) took the better part of the evening to unwind. Offering deep, layered aromas of black currants, blueberries, leather, truffle and steak tartare, it flows onto the palate with a concentrated, yet seamless and gorgeously focused profile that carries ample tannin, good acidity and blockbuster length. One of the gems of the vintage, it needs another 3-4 years of bottle age and will evolve gracefully for a decade or more past that. Wine Advocate #211. Feb 2014. Jeb Dunnuck 96 Points. Drink: 2017 - 2027
KILIKANOON PRODIGAL GRENACHE 2012From $29.99
KILIKANOON PRODIGAL GRENACHE 2012: One of our sentimental favourites in the Kilikanoon portfolio, the Prodigal consistently delivers the single, varietal purity that only old vine Grenache can express.
