Serato Pressings Nick Hook : PairFrom $59
The Nick Hook 'Collage V.1' Serato Pressing is a journey which began in LA in February 2014, with Egyptian Lover, Lenny Castro, Todd Edwards and Sunni Colon. Then carried on in New York with Bernie Worrell, Kilo Kish, Bodega Bamz, Crystal Caines, Sliink, Nadus and Cmat. The madness resulted in a 2x12'' set of custom clear records, littered with smoky black swirls. Each A side contains 4 tracks and the licensed Serato CV02.5 Control Tone on the B sides. The whole process was documented by Serato and is released as a 5 part video series, the first four episodes covering the recording and production of each track, and the fifth revolving around the other side of the process - the artwork production, final touches on the music and the physical production of the record. The series culminates in a visit to United Record Pressing in Nashville where the record is pressed. Track Listing (Same for LP1 and LP2) 1. J.A.M.I.T (featuring Egyptian Lover) 2. Going Back 2 (featuring Bodega Bamz, Crystal Caines, DJ Sliink) 3. Jaco (featuring Todd Edwards; Kilo Kish) 4. Wurly (featuring Bernie Worrell) 5. Rode Stereo VideoMic Pro On-camera MicrophoneFrom $279
Building on the success of the VideoMic Pro, the defacto standard for DSLR on-camera audio, and RØDE’s original Stereo VideoMic, the new Stereo VideoMic Pro provides a high quality stereo option for videographers, and is ideal for recording music, and the atmospheric ambience essential in building a realistic audio scene. Based around a matched pair of high sensitivity ½”cardioid condenser capsules in a coincident XY pair, the Stereo VideoMic Pro provides a wide stereo image with natural depth. The Stereo VideoMic Pro builds on the feature set of the VideoMic Pro, with an ergonomic form factor perfectly suited to DSLR, consumer camcorders and large-sensor video cameras. The integrated shock mounting system provides superior isolation from vibration and mechanical noise that can otherwise degrade the recording quality. Additionally the lightweight yet robust multi-strand cable provides excellent acoustic decoupling from the camera and offers significantly lower noise transference than traditional audio cable. The user friendly designed rear of the microphone body features the power and equalisation controls, including a high pass filter at 75Hz which is designed to cut out the noise generated by air conditioning, traffic and other undesirable low frequency interference. A -10dB PAD allows the user to reduce the sensitivity of the microphone, making it suitable for recording loud sound sources such as live music or at sporting events. Like the VideoMic Pro, the Stereo VideoMic Pro features a +20dB level boost specifically designed to provide a higher quality signal with DSLR cameras. When activated, the typically low quality camera preamp level can be reduced, resulting in a lower noise floor and much clearer recording. The RØDE Stereo VideoMic Pro is designed and made in Australia, and covered by RØDE Microphones' industry leading 10 year warranty. Features Broadcast recording quality on-camera microphone Matched pair 1⁄2

Rode Stereo VideoMic On-Camera MicrophoneFrom $249
The RØDE Stereo VideoMic is a high-quality stereo microphone designed for use with camcorders, DSLR cameras and portable audio recorders. Two high-resolution 1/2" condenser capsules are mounted in a fixed X/Y stereo array, providing a very natural stereo recording, while still offering a high level of rear rejection. The Stereo VideoMic is an ideal microphone for capturing environmental and ambient sounds, as well as live music. For dialogue and directional applications the RØDE VideoMic and VideoMic Pro are recommended. An in-built shock mounting system isolates the Stereo VideoMic capsule and electronics from its mount, providing isolation from external physical factors that may cause unwanted rumble and vibrations in the microphone. Its standard sized shoe mount also includes a 3/8" thread in the base for easy mounting on a boom pole or stand. In addition to the microphone's native 40Hz-20kHz response a selectable high-pass filter at 80Hz is available, which will prevent low end noise such as air conditioners and traffic from being recorded. A -10dB level attenuation (or PAD), selectable from the rear face of the microphone, allows recording of loud sound sources, such as live music or motor sport. The RØDE Stereo VideoMic stereo on-camera microphone is designed in Australia and covered by RØDE Microphones' industry leading 10 year warranty.
