Take great shots with the perfect digital camera!

Nowadays, everyone takes pictures. For simple shots, most phones have cameras that would give decent pictures; but for pictures that need better precision and quality, folks turn to digital cameras. There are different types of cameras and the camera you should buy would depend on the kind of features that you want.

Compact Digital Cameras

These cameras are usually the smallest in regards to size and are the easiest to use and carry. The camera lens is fixed, and has a minimum zoom range of 3X and image resolution of least 12 MP, making it sufficient for casual use. Most brands also try to give compact digital cameras more features (smile and face detection, various scene settings, etc.) to appeal to consumers looking for good, yet affordable, cameras. The Sony Cybershot DSC-RX100 III is a good model of a feature-packed compact digital camera, and is one of the best compact cameras available for giving excellent image quality.

Bridge Digital Cameras

Bridge cameras are called so because it’s supposed to “bridge the gap” between compact and DSLR cameras. But while bridge cameras allow users more control over the exposure settings (aperture, shutter priority, etc), it is simply a point and shoot camera. Bridge cameras are also called superzoom cameras, because it has a zoom range of up to 20X. It has a viewfinder built in, although not good as those in DSLRs. While bulkier than compact cameras, it makes up for this with its extensive features, which also include an image stabilisation system (for shooting at longer focal lengths), as well as an articulated LCD screen (for shooting at awkward angles).

Compact System Cameras (CSCs)

Also known as Mirrorless Interchangeable lens cameras, these cameras can be viewed as a more compact alternative to a DSLR. Unlike the first two types of cameras, the lens of a compact system camera is not fixed, and can be interchanged. Compact system cameras are equipped with an LCD screen (usually touch screen), and may or may not have an electronic viewfinder. If it doesn’t have a viewfinder, users may try to find an external one in camera stores. This type of camera is good for users who want DSLR quality photos, but want a lighter camera.

DSLR Cameras

Digital single lens reflex (DSLR) cameras are the largest of all the types listed here, and are the most advanced and versatile camera you can buy today. Popular brands for DSLR cameras include Sony, Nikon, and Canon. It has a large size because it contains a mirror that reflects light into its built in viewfinder. This, paired with large image sensors and interchangeable lenses, allow users to take high quality photos under a variety of settings. DSLR cameras will produce the best images out of all the types of cameras listed here, but are also the most expensive.

Find the right camera for you at GetPrice!

To sum, there are four major types of digital cameras: compact cameras, bridge cameras, compact system cameras, and DSLRs. Which digital camera you should buy would depend on the kind of features you want and the budget you have. If you’re still undecided on what digital camera to get, GetPrice has offers from several camera shops, and you can compare cameras and their prices as well. You can also find offers for any camera accessories you might need to capture the perfect shot. For more great deals, make sure to visit GetPrice, where the price is always right!

Fujifilm X-T10 Digital CameraFrom $900

Creativity. Everyday.
Small, simple to use and offering exceptional image quality. The FUJIFILM X-T10 turns any trip, whether in everyday life or to the other side of the world, into the ultimate photo opportunity.

Shooting Style
The design of the compact and lightweight body bears all the hallmarks of an X Series camera. Both top and base plates are made of a lightweight, but highly rigid, die-cast magnesium. The top plate features three precision-milled aluminum dials which give the FUJIFILM X-T10 a premium feel and allow users to intuitively adjust the combination of aperture, shutter speed and shooting functions while concentrating on picture taking.

New AF system captures the subject perfectly
The FUJIFILM X-T10 uses the new AF system. It offers the conventional 49-point Single Point mode for high speed and precision, as well as new Zone and Wide/Tracking modes that track subject movement across a larger 77-point area, substantially improving the camera's ability to capture moving subjects.

Film Simulation
With 80 years of expertise in film development, Fujifilm is passionate about color, and the result can be clearly seen in the FUJIFILM X-T10's evolved Film Simulation settings. Allowing you to create brilliant images without the need for lengthy post-production, users can switch between beautiful styles just as easily as choosing a roll of film. The expanded range of modes now includes CLASSIC CHROME, which was developed to meet the demands of Fujifilm X-Photographers worldwide.

Real-Time Viewfinder
With a magnification of 0.62x** and a display lag time of just 0.005sec***, the FUJIFILM X-T10 has the large and fast viewfinder. It offers a clear, high-definition live view thanks to the new 2.36M-dot organic EL electronic viewfinder, plus visibility has been improved by automatically controlling finder brightness according to the ambient light levels.

Panasonic LUMIX DMC-G7 Digital CameraFrom $698

The LUMIX DMC-GX7 combines the Digital Live MOS Sensor and Venus Engine to achieve a new level of clear, smooth image quality. Featuring a stylish, high-class body with metallic appeal, the DMC-GX7 expands the joy of photography with a tiltable LVF, image stabilizer and Wi-Fi function.

Canon PowerShot G3 X Digital CameraFrom $1149

The PowerShot G3 X camera's 1.0-inch sensor achieves a beautiful balance between high sensitivity and high image quality. The sensor is able to collect more light in a shorter time period without the overflow that causes blown-out highlights. This means better detail and sophisticated tonal quality, with rich gradations even at high ISO speeds all the way to 12800. A high signal-to-noise ratio delivers minimal noise and distortion with breathtaking dynamic range, particularly notable in bright areas. And photography enthusiasts will appreciate the changes in image processing for the PowerShot G3 X, which include target exposure value and contrast characteristics of highlights. Thanks to this change, dynamic range in bright areas is expanded with gradation attributes that are similar to EOS. Also, by changing the exposure index standard, it is possible to shoot at almost the same brightness with the same aperture, shutter speed and ISO settings as EOS. The PowerShot G3 X natively captures images in the 3:2 aspect ratio, which is the same as Canon EOS SLR cameras. The camera's image creation technology was designed with post processing in mind, and features an Aspect Ratio function, enabling RAW image capture in 16:9, 3:2, 4:3 and 1:1 aspect ratios while maintaining the same angle of view.

Sony A7R Mark II Digital CameraFrom $3775

Introducing the new Sony A7R II, containing the world’s first back-illuminated 35mm full-frame image sensor delivery 42.4MP resolution. Combining a Fast Hybrid AF system, 5-axis image stabilisation and 4K movie recording with full pixel read out, it delivers unparalleled quality and control. Your shots of action can look clearer than ever, thanks to our new full-frame image sensor that assures wide-area coverage with 399 focal plane phase-detection AF points.

The 5-axis image stabilisation system has been fine tuned for the A7RII’s high resolution image sensor. It accurately compensates for five types of camera shake that can compromise handheld shooting. The grip has been refined in the A7R II in shape and height to support a more secure grasp of the camera even when a large lens is mounted. The shutter button has been reshaped and shifted forward to enable more natural shooting with less camera shake.

Sony Cyber-shot DSC-RX10 II Digital CameraFrom $1698

Sony's acclaimed high-zooming RX10 II camera contains a remarkable advance in photo and movie possibilities — the world's first memory-attached 1.0-type stacked CMOS image sensor. Use it to create stunning 4K movies, up to 40x super slow motion, spectacular still images, and more. A new world of super-real photography emerges. Zoom in.

Fujifilm X30 Digital CameraFrom $0
Like the Fujifilm X10 and X20, the X30 switches on and off with the manual zoom control and the camera now features a new command dial that surrounds the lens. Technology implemented in the X30 and X20 is designed to reduce the effects of diffraction and aberration when using smaller apertures, which should result in sharper pictures.
Canon Powershot SX610 HS Digital CameraFrom $299

Along with its impressively slim profile and stylish new design, the PowerShot SX610 HS camera boasts a powerful array of advanced capabilities. The 18x Optical Zoom gives you excellent versatility, while Intelligent IS helps ensure virtually shake-free images at any zoom length, and Auto Zoom helps you frame your subject and keep it in focus. And just press the dedicated movie button to capture vividly lifelike 1080p Full HD video. For documenting and sharing your life, the PowerShot SX610 HS camera is the perfect partner.
