When it comes to quality skincare on a budget, no one does it quite like the Korean beauty industry. Popular for its innovative formulas and effective products, K-Beauty has exploded in global popularity in recent years and developed a reputation for quality products without the premium price tag.

For K-Beauty fans or just anyone looking to try some Korean skincare products for the first time, the main problem is that there are now so many brands and products on the market that it’s become quite difficult to know what’s worth purchasing and what’s not. So, to help you get the most bang for your buck, we’ve done a deep dive on the category, trawling through numerous product reviews, K-Beauty skincare guides and #BeautyTok videos to round up the best cheap K-Beauty products that actually live up to the hype.

Check out our favourite K-Beauty skincare products from popular brands including Cosrx, ANUA, Biore, Beauty of Joseon, I’m From and more.

Cleansers

Cleansing is the first and arguably most important step in a skincare routine. A good cleanser should clean the skin and remove any build up without drying or making it feel squeaky clean. There’s a multitude of high end cleansers on the market, but there are also lots of more affordable options that can often provide similar (or even identical) results – especially if you’re willing to try K-Beauty products like the ones below.

Anua Heartleaf Quercetinol Pore Deep Cleansing Foam - $22

Anua Heartleaf Quercetinol Pore Deep Cleansing Foam - $22
The Heartleaf Pore Deep Cleansing Foam from Anua has a foaming consistency and it includes a range of active ingredients that gently exfoliate the skin. It's also soothing and hydrating, thanks to the use of Heartleaf powder and hyaluronic acid. According to Anua, 100% of customers surveyed agreed that the product helped cleanse pore impurities and remove base makeup products. Costing only $22, this is a very affordable cleanser option packed with quality ingredients, and further reinforced by a 4.5 star rating from over 14,000 reviews on Amazon.

Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil - $25

Anua Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil - $25
While it’s not essential, double cleansing at night (first with an oil cleanser) is recommended by most beauty specialists for ensuring all product and build up is removed from your face. Anua’s Heartleaf Pore Control Cleansing Oil is designed to effectively remove makeup residue as well as blackheads and sebum. According to Anua, this is the number one cleansing oil in the US, with over 10 million units sold (between January 2022 and July 2025). Heartleaf Pore Control also has an average of 4.4 stars from over 22,000 reviews on Amazon, so it’s a real crowd favourite.

Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil - $32

Beauty of Joseon Ginseng Cleansing Oil - $32
Another popular K-Beauty cleansing oil is Beauty of Joseon’s Ginseng Cleansing Oil. Slightly more expensive at $32, it’s still very reasonably priced when compared with similar high-end products. This cleanser includes soybean oil which is claimed to dissolve impurities without clogging pores, ginseng seed oil to help keep skin soft and support the moisture barrier, and micellar cleansing technology to emulsify and break down any build up on the face, leaving it clean and smooth. As well as being popular among Amazon buyers with over 100 units bought in the last month (as of December 2025), this product is also recommended by our sister brand Who What Wear in its Best Korean Skincare Product guide.

Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser - $25

Cosrx Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser - $25
Cosrx is a well-known name in the K-Beauty space and its Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser is a great, affordable cleanser choice. It’s suitable for all skin types including sensitive skin and it contains tea tree oil to help balance pH levels. With a retail price of only $25, it can also often be found on sale at Amazon for as little as $18, so make sure you keep an eye out on potential savings. If you need any further convincing, it also has an average of 4.6 stars from over 18,000 reviews with customers praising the gentle, yet effective formula.

Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser - $25

Cosrx Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser - $25
Another cleanser from Cosrx, the Salicylic Acid Daily Gentle Cleanser is a good choice for those with skin concerns such as acne, black heads and excess oil. This product uses a combination of two active ingredients: salicylic acid – which helps reduce breakouts – and willow bark water – which controls excess sebum. Both ingredients are chemical exfoliants known as BHAs, which work by helping the skin loosen dead skin cells and shed them. Salicylic acid in particular is very commonly used in skincare, as it’s effective in helping reduce breakouts, however products with large amounts of salicylic acid may cause issues for people with sensitive skin. So, if you’re looking for a gentle cleanser to help with acne, this product is a good option because it only contains 0.5% salicylic acid – a lower concentration than many other cleansers on the market. The other plus is that it only costs $25, and just like Cosrx’s Low pH Good Morning Gel Cleanser, it’s also often on sale at Amazon.

Serums and toners

Depending on your skincare concerns, adding a serum or a toner may be beneficial. However, with so many options on the market, it can be so hard to know where to start. To help, here’s a breakdown on some of the most affordable, best rated K-Beauty serum and toners on the market, and which skincare concerns they may help treat.

Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum - $33

Beauty of Joseon Revive Eye Serum - $33
An eye cream or serum can be very helpful for keeping under-eye skin hydrated, which helps to prevent wrinkles and dark eyebags. The Revive Eye Serum from Beauty of Joseon is a K-Beauty favourite. This product contains retinal (a vitamin A derivative) that’s used to improve wrinkles, as well as the sap from ginseng (a medical root used in a lot of Korean Beauty products) which supplies and maintains moisture. This eye serum has a silky, lightweight texture meaning that it easily absorbs into the skin without leaving a sticky residue. The skincare experts at Who What Wear even recommend this product in their Best Korean Skincare Products guide, commenting on how it ‘hydrates, firms and helps with fine lines without irritating the delicate under-eye area.’

Cosrx Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence - $38

Cosrx Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence - $38
You may have heard of the use of snail mucin in K-Beauty skincare products and while it may sound bizarre or even gross, snail mucin is actually well known for its ability to help repair damaged skin, improve elasticity and maintain hydration. Cosrx makes multiple products that use the ingredient including a gel moisturiser, sheet masks and an under eye cream, but the 96% Power Repairing Essence is undeniably one of the most popular. If you’re looking for a new skincare product to help keep your skin hydrated and glowy all day, the 96% Power Repairing Essence does just that. If you don’t know what an essence is, it’s basically an oil that you pat into your skin after cleansing and toning (either in the morning, at night, or both) and it can be followed with a moisturiser if needed. If you’re still skeptical, the average of 4.5 stars from over 90,000 reviews on Amazon may help change your mind. Usually costing $38, you can often pick up this product while it’s on sale and get it for as little as $20.

I’m From Rice Toner - $46

I’m From Rice Toner - $46
I’m From Skincare makes several popular beauty products, however its I’m From Rice line is probably the best known. Its Rice Toner is a definite cult favourite, with an average of 4.5 stars from over 12,000 reviews on Amazon. As the name suggests, it contains 77.78% Goami rice extract (the signature ingredient in the I’m From Rice line) which nourishes the skin and helps it glow, as well as other ingredients such as niacinamide for evening complexion and glycerin and portulaca oleracea extract to moisturise and hydrate. While $46 is on the more expensive end of the spectrum, this is a very popular product that’s worth keeping an eye out for when discounted, when it can often be had for under $30.

Cosrx Pure Vitamin C Serum - $49

Cosrx Pure Vitamin C Serum - $49
When it comes to skincare ingredients, vitamin C is a great all rounder. Its benefits include protection against pollution and sun damage, collagen-boosting for firmer skin and complexion-brightening by evening out skin tone and helping to fade hyperpigmentation and dark spots. So, adding a vitamin C serum to your daily skincare routine is definitely worth considering. This option from Cosrx contains 23% vitamin C as well as vitamin E and hyaluronic acid to help lock in moisture and fight signs of aging. While $49 is definitely on the higher end of the spectrum when it comes to K-Beauty products, this one’s a personal favourite of mine and I think it’s well worth the price. In fact, there aren’t many cheaper products on the market that contain this level of vitamin C. This product is also often discounted to around $32 at Amazon, so you can save a bit of money if you’re patient.

Moisturisers

Keeping your skin hydrated is so important and one of the best ways to do this is with a facial moisturiser. There are so many different types of moisturisers on the market, from those with thick textures that aim to tackle seriously dry and flaky skin, to more lightweight gel moisturisers. No matter what your skin type, you should be using a moisturiser, however your skin type and personal preference will definitely determine which one works best for you. To help narrow down the search, here are some of the best K-Beauty moisturisers on the market.

Cosrx Snail Mucin 92% Repair Cream - $24

Cosrx Snail Mucin 92% Repair Cream - $24
As mentioned above, popular K-Beauty brand Cosrx is well known for its snail mucin line that targets dry, damaged skin and claims to help improve glow and elasticity. Cosrx’s Snail Mucin 92% Repair Cream is a gel moisturiser containing 92% Snail Secretion Filtrate to help boost skin radiance as well as hyaluronic acid and betaine to provide long lasting and deep hydration. The cream has a very lightweight consistency and it is easily absorbed without leaving a thick film, making it perfect for wearing under makeup. Just like the Snail Mucin 96% Power Repairing Essence, this product has achieved cult status and the sales figures prove it, with over 4,000 units purchased from Amazon AU in the last month alone (as at December 2025) and an average of 4.4 stars from over 54,000 reviews.

Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream - $39

Beauty of Joseon Dynasty Cream - $39
This thick, creamy moisturiser helps keep skin hydrated, plump and dewy. It uses rice water, niacinamide and ginseng root water to help keep skin hydrated and oil and sebum balanced. The thick consistency makes this moisturiser ideal for those with very dry skin. This product is another that’s been praised by our sister brand Who What Wear in its guide to the Best Korean Skincare Products.

Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturiser - $57

Laneige Water Bank Blue Hyaluronic Cream Moisturiser - $57
K-Beauty brand Laneige is best known for its cult-favourite Lip Sleeping Mask but it also has some other popular products. Laneige’s Water Bank Blue Moisturiser is definitely on the more expensive side (costing $57 for just 50ml) but if you can afford to treat yourself, it’s a good-quality option and a little does go a long way. This moisturiser contains fast-absorbing Blue Hyaluronic Acid to moisturise skin as well as squalane for a healthy, hydrated glow and Pepta-Panthenol Complex which reinforces your moisture barrier to lock in hydration for longer. If you run out of this product, you can choose to buy a refill which uses 70% less plastic than the standard-size product. Opting for the refill will benefit both the environment as well as your bank account, as it only costs $33.

Sunscreens

Wearing sunscreen is vital – especially in the Australian sun – but I’ve found it can be hard to find a face sunscreen that you like and want to wear everyday. Many people find that generic facial sunscreens (often from chemists or supermarkets) don’t blend well and tend to leave a white cast or sticky residue, making it uncomfortable to wear all day or apply makeup on top of. K-Beauty sunscreens, on the other hand, often include additional skincare elements such as aloe or rice bran water to calm the skin and reduce redness. These added components help the sunscreen feel lighter, smoother and more comfortable on the face.

Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sunscreen SPF50+ PA - $24.70

Cosrx Aloe Soothing Sunscreen SPF50+ PA - $24.70
Recommended by our sister site Marie Claire UK in its Best Korean SPF guide, Cosrx’s Soothing Sunscreen uses aloe vera leaf extract to help soothe sensitive or red skin while also protecting it from the sun. It also has a lightweight formula so it doesn’t feel sticky and it sits well under makeup. While lots of Cosrx products are available at Amazon, this particular product isn’t. One of the easiest and most affordable places to buy it in Australia is through international skincare retailer Stylevana. It has a retail price of $24.70, however members of Stylevana’s VANA Rewards Club may be able to save on select purchases. If you plan on shopping at Stylevana regularly and want to save a bit of money, it could be worth signing up.

Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotic SPF50+ - $24.83

Beauty of Joseon Relief Sun: Rice + Probiotic SPF50+ - $24.83
This sunscreen from Beauty of Joseon features the brand’s signature ingredient, Rice Bran Water as well as vitamin B to moisturise and nourish skin. It’s suitable for all skin types and has a lightweight creamy texture that helps it absorb without leaving a sticky or white cast. This sunscreen was also recommended by Marie Claire UK in its Best Korean SPF guide and for under $25, it’s a great everyday facial sunscreen. This is another product that’s not available from Amazon or many other Australian retailers, but can be picked up at Stylevana.

Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream SPF50+ - $30.83

Anua Heartleaf Silky Moisture Sun Cream SPF50+ - $30.83
Also recommended in Marie Claire’s Best Korean SPF Guide is popular K-Beauty brand Anua’s Heartleaf Silky Moisturiser Sun Cream. With an SPF50+ rating, this sunscreen features Anua’s signature ingredient, Heartleaf, which is known for its calming properties. With a smooth, silky texture, it’s said to feel lightweight and barely noticeable on the skin, so it should be perfect for those who hate the feel of thick products on their face. Again, this suncream isn’t widely available in Australia, however it can be found at international beauty retailer Stylevanna.
