Is saving money one of your new year’s resolutions? We know that essential bills can really take a toll on your budget and cutting them down is hard, but swapping internet providers is one of the quicker and easier ways to save – and depending on the provider and plan, it can save you big.
A great example of how much you can slash from your NBN bill has just dropped, with a new deal from Dodo that’ll save you at least $20 per month on your internet plan for an entire year.
Yep, you heard that correctly! Internet provider Dodo has discounted a range of its NBN plans by $20 per month for the first 12 months. This discount applies to its NBN 25, NBN 50, NBN 100 and NBN 250 plans, so whether you need a basic plan or something faster, there’s an option here for you.
Here’s everything you need to know about these deals:
Dodo NBN25 Unlimited Plan | $48.90p/m (for the first 12 months, then $68.90p/m)
If you’re on a budget and don’t need especially fast internet, an NBN 25 plan is a good option. This speed tier is suitable for small households with one or two people. Dodo’s NBN 25 plan comes with unlimited data and is currently $20 off for the first 12 months, bringing it down to under $50 per month – a saving of $240 over the first year. After the first 12 months, the price returns to its usual $68.90 which is about average price for NBN 25.
Dodo NBN50 Unlimited Plan | $63.90p/m (for the first 12 months, then $83.90)
NBN 50 is Australia’s most popular speed tier, catering well for households with between two and four people. If you’re looking for a new NBN plan, Dodo’s NBN 50 plan is currently $20 off per month for the first 12 months, bringing the price down to just $63.90 per month. For the first 12 months, this is one of the cheapest NBN 50 plans on the market. After that first year, this plan goes up to $83.90, which is still a reasonably competitive price.
Dodo NBN100 Unlimited Plan | $68.90p/m (for the first 12 months, then $88.90)
If you have a larger household or just need faster internet, an NBN 100 plan may be the way to go. NBN 100 plans tend to be on the more expensive side which is why it’s definitely worth looking around for a deal. Dodo has discounted its NBN 100 plan by $20 per month for the first 12 months, bringing the price down to $68.90 per month. This makes Dodo’s plan the second cheapest NBN 100 option on the market for that first year. After the first 12 months, the plan goes up to $88.90 – only $5 more than Dodo’s NBN 50 plan, and a few dollars cheaper than the average price of NBN 100 plans (which is $90.69 at the time of writing).
Dodo NBN250 Unlimited Plan | $78.90p/m (for the first 12 months, then $98.90)
If you need a super-speedy internet connection, Dodo’s NBN 250 plan is currently only $78.90 for the first 12 months. This is cheaper than the price of many NBN 100 plans and the discount continues for a whole year! After the first 12 months, the price goes up to $98.90 – still lower than the average price of an NBN 250 plan, which is $105.26 at the time of writing.
If one of these plans looks right for you, bear in mind that this offer ends on Tuesday, 28 January, so you’ve got a little bit of time to take advantage… Just don’t leave it too long to avoid missing out.
