The newest range of Samsung Galaxy flagship smartphones – the S26, S26 Plus and S26 Ultra – were officially announced on February 26 and are now available for preorder in Australia. As is usually the case when major flagship phones are released, lots of retailers and telcos are currently offering preorder deals and discounts. All of these preorder deals offer a free storage upgrade, while some also include discounts on the actual phone.
The preorder period ends on March 10, with the devices officially available in stores on March 11 – so if you want to take advantage of a preorder deal and secure the best possible price, you’ll want to make sure you get in quick.

The cheapest way to get the Samsung Galaxy S26 will depend on whether you want to buy the phone outright, or on a monthly payment plan. We’ve assessed every offer we could find from major telcos and retailers and have found there’s basically one clear winner in each case. So, depending on your preference, here are our pre-order deal recommendations:
Best overall Galaxy S26 preorder deals on a payment plan
If you don’t want to pay for the Galaxy S26 outright, it might seem like your only option is to bundle it with a plan from Telstra, Optus or Vodafone. The catch is that this means you’re also locked into paying for a mobile plan from that provider for up to 36 months – and plans from one of these three telcos generally sit at the pricier end of the market, meaning that as the months stack up, you end up paying a lot more over time.
What many people don’t realise, however, is that Samsung now offers flexible financing options with 0% interest for up to 24 months. That’s essentially identical to what the major telcos offer, but the real benefit of paying off the handset directly through Samsung is that you can pair it with a more affordable SIM-only plan – potentially saving you hundreds over two years

Samsung’s S26 preorder offers give you a free storage upgrade, so you can get the 512GB option for the price of the 256GB option on all three S26 devices – the upgrade would normally cost $300. If you buy from Samsung, you can also choose between two additional Samsung Exclusive colour options – Pink Gold and Silver Shadow. To pay for your device on a Samsung payment plan, you simply choose this at the checkout, with options for 0% interest for 12 or 24 months, or 9.9% interest on a 36 month payment plan.
Best overall Galaxy S26 outright preorder deals
If you are happy to purchase the S26 outright, without the need of a payment plan, the cheapest way to do this is through Amazon. Like with all other preorder offers, Amazon is offering a free storage upgrade, so you can get the 512GB storage option for the price of the 256GB on all three versions of the S26 - the S26, the S26+ and the S26 Ultra.
The free storage upgrade is worth $300, however what makes Amazon’s offer stand out is that Amazon Prime members can save an additional $300 at checkout for a total saving of $600!

Taking the 512GB variant as an ample, Amazon’s astonishing preorder deal brings the final price of the S26 down to $1,249, the S26+ to $1,549 and the S26 Ultra down to just $1,899. If you’ve never been a Prime member before, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial and experience all the benefits for free. (If you’ve previously had Prime but cancelled, you can sign up for just $9.99 per month.) Bear in mind that the 512GB S26 Ultra is currently sold out in Cobalt Violet at the time of writing, but it’s still available in the 1TB storage option for $2,349 after discount.
