  2. Are Brown Bothers the Moscato masters? We can’t think of anyone that comes close in terms of popularity and they continue to dominate with this young spritzty style. They call it fun in the sun and that’s what Moscato means to us. The kind of drink, you’d have on ice during the day while you are close to the swimming pool. Lifted with musk and citrus and an essential grapey character, the palate is buzzing with sherbet and a gentle spritz. It’s fun in a glass and has no pretensions to be anything more.

  3. Moscato is all the rage in Aussieland at the moment, and why not! They are dead easy to drink, and lower in alcohol with a fun spritz. This offering from Jacobs Creek is all of that and more. Aromas of musk florals, stone fruits and citrus decorate the nose, whilst the palate is light and a touch sweet, with citrus and peachy flavours, and a refreshing, soft finish. It's only 7.2% alcohol, too.

  4. This is proper, authentic Moscato from northern Italy that will change your perception of the style. We love this type of wine because it offers an alternative to sticky wines and is more sprightly on the palate, less cloying and lower in alcohol too. It’s bright with citrus aromas, has a clean, fresh, slightly effervescent palate and cleansing acids on the finish. It’s a style that people come to love at first sip and we’d drink this with a fresh fruit pavlova for the ultimate taste sensation.

  9. Annie’s Lane is a Clare Valley institution a winery that gets its name from the heroic Annie who used to bring lunches to those pruning the vineyards and ending up getting her cart bogged in a lane. She probably could have done with a refreshing Moscato like this one as it offers up hints of strawberry, musk and Turkish delight before a vibrant sweet fruit palate with crisp acids. Perfect for quaffing on its own, or with a light brunch.

  12. Easy drinking and toothsome is pretty much the theme with this bright, grapy, spritzy number from Deakin Estate. Aromas of apples, grapes and musk florals leap out of the glass, whilst the palate is sweet and delicately fizzy, with some lemony acidity cleaning up the finish. It's great value, and more of a dessert wine than a table wine, so try it with some cupcakes.

  14. The Lana Moscato is made from an Italien white grape variety called Moscato Giallo or Yellow Muscat. The fruit for this wine comes from a vineyard site in the Myrrhee Valley about twenty minutes’ drive from Pizzini. The grapes were hand harvested, crushed and pressed. The juice was fermented in stainless steel at a cool 14 C. The ferment was stopped once the wine had reached 5.5% alcohol ensuring the perfect level of sweetness and delicious, grapey aroma. The Lana Moscato is a beautiful wine, it has a lovely spritz, fruity nose and crisp, clean, sweet palate.
