Picking was slightly earlier than average, with flavours developing earlier, producing wines with less alcohol and more finesse. McWilliam's has for many years crafted wines with fruit sourced from the cooler, high altitude sites situated along the great Dividing Range. This wine from Orange displays citrus and guava fruits with lifted green garden herbs. The fine mineral acidity drives the freshness and length creating a seriously satisfying Sauvignon Blanc. Appearance: Pale Straw with green hues. Nose: Intense tropical notes of passionfruit, guava and lychee are abound on this varietal nose, with subtle tomato bush and lime aromas are showing. Palate: The palate is wonderfully fresh and lively. This Cabernet Sauvignon from Hilltops shows rich dark currant fruit with autumn leaves aromas that flow nicely onto the palate supported by cedar wood spices and soft velvety tannins. A near perfect growing season with consistent warm weather with no detrimental heat spikes to affect the grapes ripening. The vines were able to ripen with minimal water stress, due to fuller soil profiles from the previous two seasons, with flowering and bunch set occurring perfectly. Mild to warm clear conditions continued through to May allowing the fruit to mature to full flavour maturity in great condition. Appearance: A vibrant crimson with youthful purple hues. Nose: A lifted varietal nose of dark chocolate, mulberry & black olive fruits. Subtle background graphite oak characters adds further complexity to this classically styled Cabernet Sauvignon. Slight hint of spearmint lingers on the finish. Palate: A fleshy bright wine full of dark chocolate & black cassis fruits with a slight finish of spearmint flavour at the end of the palate..
