  1. If you want to take your trail riding to a whole new level, the Marin Rift Zone 1 29er trail mountain bike is a great way to do it. The combination of 120mm of suspension travel, large volume 29er tyres combined with the long, low, and slack geometry are going to redefine what your expectations of what a trail bike can do. An X-Fusion 120mm suspension rear shock controls the MultiTrac suspension platform to give the bike more squish giving the bike a feeling of a lot more travel than it actually has. It's worth noting that X-Fusion in addition to making shock and forks under their own house name, also manufacture for some of the most premium brands in the Industry, so you can rely not just on their value but on their incredible performance. Up front a RockShox Recon Silver RL fork with 130mm of travel and 15mm thru axle gives you the confidence to be less picky with choosing your line. A Shimano Deore 1x10 drivetrain gives you plenty of range with an 11-42T cassette in the back and a 32T chainring up front. A 1x system not only simplifies the drivetrain but also improves shifting performance and reduces the odds of a dropped chain. For when you run out of trail or just run out of talent, the stoppers are Shimano's excellent BR-M315 hydraulic disc brakes, matched up with a larger 180mm rotor up front. The sealed bearing boost hubs are laced to a set of Marin Double Wall alloy 29" tubeless compatible rims wrapped in Vee 29 x 2.3" tyres for maximum traction in any conditions. The capacity to run thru axles on the boost spacing ensures the bike is future-proofed for years to come. As always Marin has finished the bike beautifully; with their metallic head tube badge, matte and gloss paintwork and quality in-house components it's these intricate details, that just smell of old school credibility that only a brand like Marin can deliver. 2. Developed, tested and tweaked by Sam Reynolds himself, the new Polygon Trid continues its successful formula combining a bomb proof alloy frame with a spec sheet you can depend on. The AL6 Alloy frame has won many a podium and is equipped with all the technology and features you expect from a top of the line Dirt Jumper. Tapered headtube, short chainstays, horizontal dropouts and wide frame tubes for improved rigidity. Despite all of this, the Polygon Trid frame still comes at an incredible 1.9kg for the frame alone, so important when youre trying to spend as much time as possible in the air. Completing the bike for this year sees an upgraded WTB SX25 Wheelset added to the mix. Shimano BR-M365 hydraulic disc brakes are provided front and rear, but its not uncommon to see the front brake and rotor removed for dirt jumping strictly for off road use of course. The X Fusion slant air fork is quickly becoming the dirt jumper fork of choice. The fork features super wide 34mm stanchions combined with adjustability, which has often been the bug bear of many dirt jump forks, and the slant has rebound and compression adjustment (check). Put all together with the quality that can only come with one of the biggest fork factories in the industry. 7. New for this year, the Cascade 4 enters the Polygon lineup, borrowing much of its technology from the highly popular Polygon Premier series from previous years. Utilising a new lighter frame, the Cascade 4 is now one of the lightest mountain bikes in its category on the market. The aluminium frame is combined with reliable and durable components, which compared to other brands in the same price point makes the Polygon Cascade 4 the clear bike of choice. With the 27.5 wheels, the bike is not only an efficient commuter but can comfortably handle itself on mountain bike tracks and the front Suntour XCM fork validates the claim. The bigger tyres and the 120mm suspension fork also add to the suspension-free simplicity of the bike, allowing it to easily handle technical trails normally requiring a dual suspension setup. The new Polygon Entiat TR8, 27.5 Plus Trail bike is Polygon's top of the line response to the world of 27.5 Plus hardtail mountain bikes. The TR8 is built around Polygon's trail ready ALX Boost alloy frame, an efficient aluminium design that combines durability and performance with the new BOOST system (hub system originally developed by SRAM - 12x148mm rear, 15x110mm front). Compared to a regular hardtail mountain bike which is normally designed for XC riding, the slacker head angle (66.5 degrees) combined with the shorter chainstays allow the bike to be ridden in more vertical environments. Along with the inherent cushion of the oversized wheels and tyres, a Rockshox Revelation RC front suspension fork with 120mm of travel and hydraulic lockout helps soak up the big hits. The TR8's groupset combines a 1 x 11 Shimano Deore XT drivetrain with a Race Face Ride Crankset running a Narrow-Wide 32T chainring. 17. The Marin Rift Zone 2, 29er mountain bike is a stellar full suspension trail bike that builds on the already competent Rift Zone 1 but adds more versatility for improved performance across a wider range of terrain. The front and rear triangle are now controlled through the upgraded Rockshox Delux Debonair rear shock. There is some credibility added when the sticker on the front fork reads the same as the rear shock. Additionally the front fork also now uses a Maxle Stealth, rather than the Maxle lite which saves precious grams from the front unsprung weight. At the rear of the bike, stability is enhanced through the boost thru-axle from TranzX on the rear. TranzX also provides the internally routed dropper seat post. The ability to adjust the saddle height on the fly is a huge advantage. Need to put the power down whilst ascending a ridge? Lift the saddle to get maximum power out of your legs. When you get to the other side and want to descend with confidence, you can lower it out of the way, knowing you wont get bucked off the bike like a bronco. The lock on grips also keeps you firmly engaged with the bike at all times. A SRAM NX 1x11 drivetrain provides a wide range of gears so you'll be ready no matter how flat or hilly the terrain. Being 11 speed also gives you further gear range should you need it. Improvements have been made to the crankset too. 18. The 2016 Cozmic RX3.0 is Polygon's top of the line 29er hardtail mountain bike. It features a podium-climbing ACX Advanced Carbon frame, with ridiculously clean lines, stealthy internal cable routing, ride-tuned chainstays, and a carbon 142x12 rear dropout. The RX3 delivers extraordinary performance and is one of the best looking bikes Polygon have released for 2016. The tapered head tube meets the top tube and downtube in a massive junction to keep the front end stiff for precise steering control which is confidence inspiring when hitting corners at high speeds. The uniquely shaped, square profile downtube which melds into a beefy bottom bracket amplifies torsional stiffness and maximizes power transfer. The RX3 features the new M8000 Shimano XT 36/26 crank that offers the optimum combination of light weight and stiffness to make every pedal rotation count. Short, asymmetrical chainstays supply superior efficiency and nimble handling, especially on tight singletrack. Chainstay mounted rear brake caliper positions the rear brake in the ideal position between the two stays out of the way, minimising the torsional forces of the rear wheel while braking. Finally, a 142 x 12mm rear thru axle securely joins the hub to the frame, strengthening lateral stiffness in the rear triangle for improved pedaling efficiency. The RX3 is assembled with a plethora of beautiful parts and components. A Fox Float Factory front suspension fork with CTD remote and Kashima Coat keeps the front end of the bike in complete control. A Shimano XT 11-speed drivetrain is perfect for nearly any XC course. A 36/26-tooth Shimano XT crank is matched to a 11/40 Shimano XT 11-speed cassette to conquer brutal climbs and harrowing descents alike. Finally, a blisteringly-quick set of DT Swiss Spline One wheels with Racing Ralph tyres make short work of tight and twisty singletrack. 19. The Marin Nail Trail 7 mountain bike is everything a hardtail trail bike should be - lightweight, fast, sleek, stylish and an all-round awesome riding experience. The long low and slack frame dimensions are designed for aggressive trail riding. This personality trait is further added with the Rockshox Revelation RC front air fork providing the damping duties. The Revelation RC now comes with a new 35mm stiff and lightweight stanchions derived from the iconic Rockshox Pike. The TranzX dropper also allows for much more bravado during descents. It can be adjusted on the fly with the handlebar mounted lever. Shifting duties are handled by the upgraded Shimano M7000 SLX 1x11-speed drivetrain. Gear range has been further increased with the addition of the pizza dish of a rear cassette with massive 46 tooth low gear. FSA provide a 30 tooth direct mount chain ring to further reduce weight on the crank set. The massive 180mm front rotor is used to scrub speed from the bike. Shimano are renown as having the best brakes in industry and the MT500 on this bike live up to that reputation. Lastly, a set of Vee Tire Crown Gem Dual Tread Compound, Tubeless Compatible tyres keep you hooked into the trail so you can rip to your heart's content. The Polygon Siskiu N8 is the bike you've been waiting for and it comes with all the parts and clever technology you'd expect from Polygon, like the frame size specific 29er or 27.5" wheels, internal dropper post, Rockshox Yari front fork suspension and a 1x12 drivetrain. The Siskiu N is built around a new lightweight, hydroformed 6061 aluminium Boost frame and longer 160mm (29er) / 170mm (27.5") travel. By utilising a one piece linkage system, Polygon have been able to keep the frame weight down whilst reinforcing high-stress areas and reducing flex under heavy loads. The rear swing triangle also features a unibody pivot bridge that stiffens the rear wheel and provides you a lot more control when exiting high-speed corners and negotiating rock gardens. The Boost design means that Polygon have been able to include wide 29mm rims with 2.6" tyres (27.5" wheel) and 2.35" tyres (29" wheel). The frame is finished off with a tapered headset, rear thru axle, and internal routing for gears, brakes and dropper seat post. The Siskiu N series utilises Polygon's new Wheel Fit Size System whereby each frame size is paired with the wheel size that be
