WHAT’S IN ME? Imported Aborio Rice, Mixed Tomatoes, Onions, Rooibos, Roasted Garlic, Lemon Zest, Herbs, Saffron. I contain no added preservatives, colourants or flavourants. All that’s been removed to make me is my water, using a long, low-heat process to preserve my best qualities – nutrients, flavours and colours. HOW TO MAKE ME Extras required: A quality stock cube, a cup of white wine, blue cheese (optional), parmesan, butter and olive oil. Dissolve your stock cube in 1.5 l of boiling water. Heat a glug (about 4 Tbsp) of olive oil and 1Tbsp of butter in a suitable size pan. Add my contents and toast me on high baby, until you hear me sizzle. Phew! Then add a cup of wine and stir until it evaporates. Turn down the heat a little, and add the hot stock, ONE LADLE AT A TIME, stirring until the stock evaporates and before adding the next ladle. IT IS IMPORTANT NOT TO DROWN ME WITH TOO MUCH STOCK WATER AT ONCE! Remember, the stock must be hot and you must add one ladle at a time. This process will take approximately 15 minutes. I am done when my rice grains are al dente and I am firm in consistency. If you like blue cheese, add it now and stir in. Take me off the heat and let me rest for a minute (I’m bushed). Add a few knobs of butter and grated parmesan cheese, and stir very quickly until I’m creamy.
