Samsung has just launched the Galaxy S23 FE to slot in neatly between the flagship S23 series and the more mid-range A series. While its launch hasn’t received as much fanfare as the likes of the Galaxy S23 Ultra, there is much to like about this new phone, as it offers near-flagship performance without the wallet-busting price tag to match.

Our mission here at Getprice is to find you the best prices and deals on anything and everything, and so we’ve sifted through the various deals and promotions available for the Galaxy S23 FE to bring you our overall top recommendation.

The outright cheapest plan for the Samsung Galaxy S23 FE we can find comes from Optus. It’s a 36-month plan, so be prepared to stay committed (Samsung does promise four Android version updates, so it’s designed to last) and comes with 30GB of monthly data, along with the usual unlimited calls and texts.

What we consider to be the best value Samsung Galaxy S23 FE plan comes from Vodafone. It too is a 36-month contract, but you get a whopping 80GB of monthly data (40GB standard and 40GB bonus). The total monthly cost of the device repayments and the mobile plan comes to $72.75, just $2.97 more than the Optus plan.

The telco’s $65 Large Plan gives you a mammoth 600GB of data each month (300GB standard plus 300GB bonus data) for $92.75p/m when combining device repayments and monthly plan instalments. This plan also gives you $400 bonus trade-in credit when you trade in an eligible device, on top of the current trade-in value. The trade-in credit offer runs until October 17, 2023.

All plans mentioned above come with a bonus travel pack, comprising a Samsung portable power bank and a four pack of Samsung’s latest SmartTag2 tracker.

Amazon isn’t offering any major deals of its own on the Galaxy S23 FE, but the online retail giant does say that buying the phone outright – 128GB/$999 or 256GB/$1,099 – will still make you eligible to receive the bonus travel pack via redemption on the Samsung Australia website.

Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: What is it?

The Samsung Galaxy S23 FE is the latest phone to join the FE family. FE stands for ‘Fan Edition’ and the last time we saw the acronym used was with the Galaxy S21 FE. Samsung skipped the model for the S22 and now it’s back in all its glory.

Samsung FE devices have the aim of giving users a close-to-flagship experience, but at a more approachable price point. You could even say FE stands for ‘flagship experience’ if you wish.

In this regard, the Galaxy S23 FE adopts a virtually identical design to the standard Samsung Galaxy S23, complete with floating triple-lens camera system on the rear and a punch-hole camera on the front. The rear cameras comprise 50MP, 12MP and 8MP sensors, with the main 50-megapixel snapper also getting 3x optical zoom.

On the front you’ll find a 6.4-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display, making it larger than the standard S23, and 0.2-inches smaller than the Galaxy S23+. The Galaxy 23 FE’s display supports up to 120Hz refresh rate.

There are two storage options available, 128GB or 256GB, and both arrive with 8GB of RAM; prices are $999 and $1,099, respectively.
