FAQs

Does Apple do student discounts?

Yes, Apple offers education pricing discounts to university students, parents of university students and people working in education. The available discounts can be found at the Apple Education store and generally include discounts on certain devices and sometimes also include discounts on AppleCare+.

Does Apple offer trade-ins?

Yes, you can trade in an old Apple product for Apple Credits or an Apple Store gift card.

What is Apple’s return policy?

After purchasing an item from Apple you have 14 days to return it. This applies to items bought in store and online. If you are returning an item in store, you’ll need to provide ID and confirmation of purchase. To return an item by post, you have to start the process on the Apple website at the Self Service section and you’ll (eventually) be given instructions on how to return the item. Once the return is received you will be refunded immediately.

What is AppleCare?

All Apple devices come with AppleCare which gives you one year of limited warranty and 90 days of technical support. If you want to extend your warranty, you can purchase AppleCare+ which covers you for repair or replacement of the device in the event of accidental damage. The price of AppleCare+ will depend on the device.

What are Apple’s refurbished products?

As well as selling brand new products, Apple also sells refurbished products. These products are pre owned devices that have been returned or traded in and repaired so they are in good working quality. These products are always cheaper than their brand new equivalents and they undergo extensive quality checks, so you know they are trustworthy. Hints and tips

Shop during sales: Apple doesn’t often offer sales on its products, even during big sales such as Black Friday. However, you can sometimes score gift vouchers with purchases, which can be useful if you want to grab some accessories or you’re planning on buying more Apple products in the near future.

Shop back to school: If you’re a student looking to buy an Apple device, make sure you take advantage of the education pricing initiative to save money.

Buy refurbished products: If you’re not fussed about having the newest model or brand new product, you can save a lot of money by buying a refurbished device. Shop refurbished products on Apple’s website in the “Refurbished and Clearance” section.
